For this assignment I had to use a hanging cloth in some manner. I chose to use a melon because I thought it would be an interesting thing to draw. Although my cloth didn't come out as soft as I would have liked overall I am very pleased with this drawing. I learned to use a blending stump while drawing the melon and am impressed with how well it worked. I think this melon is one of the best things I have drawn so far. I used graphite for the majority of the drawing but added charcoal for the darkest shadows. Everything about this drawing class was great and I enjoyed every minute of it.
